INTERACTIVE WORKSHOP ON SURGICAL PREHABILITATION

WORKSHOP OUTLINE:

Welcome to our third virtual workshop.

This interactive workshop on surgical prehabilitation will provide you, the participant with the elements and techniques of how to set up a prehabilitation clinic in your hospital. We have assembled a multidisciplinary group of health care providers with years of experience. A video will be sent to you weeks before the day of the workshop that includes all the presentations by the faculty.

On the day of the workshop, Saturday, November 27th, we all are going to meet virtually via Zoom (13:00 – 16:00 EST). We will start the afternoon with an interactive discussion with Faculty & participants about the three lectures: - What is the Prehabilitation Clinic - Franco Carli - Medical screening at the Preoperative Clinic - Gabriele Baldini - What is the Prehabilitation Pathway - Enrico M. Minnella Have your questions ready.

Following this, you will be presented with a case. The participants will be divided into three groups and each assigned a Team Leader. Each group will move to a separate “room”, where as a group you will prepare a treatment plan.

All three groups will reconvene to present their treatment plan to everyone. Following the three presentations the group as a whole will discuss the case.

At the end of the day a patient will provide his experience with the Prehabilitation Clinic and will answer questions from the audience.
