Ewa Sidorowicz graduated from McGill University's Faculty of Medicine in 1981. She began her clinical career at the Royal Victoria Hospital (RVH) and has held several positions at the University of Sherbrooke's affiliated Charles LeMoyne Hospital. In 2002, Dr. Sidorowicz completed a Masters in Health Administration at the University of Montreal. Subsequently, she spent a year as assistant director of professional services (DPS) at the McGill University Health Center (MUHC: RVH). Dr. Sidorowicz was then recruited to be DPS for the University of Montreal's affiliated Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital, where she remained from 2003-2009. In addition to her role as DPS, she co-chaired the development of telehealth for the University of Montreal RUIS in collaboration with Quebec’s Ministry of Health and Social Services and Canada Health Infoway. Since February 2009, Dr. Sidorowicz serves as DPS of the MUHC.
She manages the adult site laboratories, imaging & pharmacy departments, the infection control service, the medical records and admitting services and the traumatic brain injury program. She is also responsible for all medical activities across the six sites of the MUHC. She is currently actively involved with the other managing directors in the execution of the clinical plan for the new MUHC, as well as in the redevelopment of the MUHC including the new Glen site
